This is my first post in more than 9 months. I have been at culinary school and extremely busy. My graduation was June 12th, and I now have access to a computer again, and some time on my hands!
I will be posting some new content very soon, along with other useful information for your consideration. Thanks for being patient while I was away, hopefully I can find some things soon that will make it worthwhile.
As always, I love to hear from my readers so drop me an email or leave a comment below.

Share ThisParrot Disease Spreading via Horse Virus August 15, 2008
Posted by Andrew in : News , 4 commentsNewScientist reports that a new virus may be helping to spread the infamous Proventricular Dilatation Disease, or PDD.
The virus resembles the same type that causes “sad horse disease” in horses, which eventually leads to paralysis.
When Kistler’s team sequenced viruses in parrot tissue, they uncovered 16 completely new strains of borna viruses. These typically infect the brains and nerves of horses, causing “sad horse disease” because infected equines become listless and eventually paralysed.
The effort to stop this virus is centered around the endangered Spix’s Macaw (conservation status: EW), which there are approximately 70 in existence, in captivity only.

Posted by Andrew in : Misc , 2 commentsWell, what can I say? It’s been way too long since any kind of post at all, mostly because I have very little time to post lately, but also because I am out of content. It would be great if you could submit a photo or two. Just go over to the submit page for instructions.
Thanks
