This is neat the family didnt hear the fire alarm but the parrot woke them up by copying it.   The fire was in Muncie, IN and most of the house burned, which is too bad but the family got out ok thanks to the parrot (an amazon), which they only had for 6 months.   It’s so awesome how God intervenes.

Chester’s Blog – Cage Cleanins

quaker parrot

Good evening every birdie. I’m so sorry that I haven’t writen in a few day’s. Some times I have de Internet, It can be an evil thing. I think it all be fix now. Oh Birdie, I do hope so, I no think I can take much more of this. It works one minute then it just stops….usually when I’m in the middle of writing something, like my blog. Them Internet gods are evil…EVIL I TELL YA!!
Weds, mom did some thing bad….very bad. She cleaned my cage. Can you believe that?? She rolled my cage out the door, out to the entrance way. I couldn’t believe what she was doing. She knows how much I hate to have me cage cleaned. she take the hose and starts to spray it. What she be thinking spraying my cage like that? So, here I am running all over the top of my cage, trying to see what she be spraying or moving next. My little stick legs could hardly keep up. I run that way and this way…this way and that way. She was moving things around in my cage. All my toys were taken out and put some place. I couldn’t see them, it was all very upsetting. Then mom turned the whole thing on mist and….and….she misted me. I did like that. I flapped my wingers to catch all the little drops of water. that was fun. Then she wheeled up back into the house and to my room. There were all my toys. Mom started putting them in the cage……….put not in the right places. I had to go into the cage and show mom were they went. It was all such hard work. Mom, why does she have to clean my cage so much?? I just don’t understand humans attall. why do they need to clean so much?? I had my cage just the way I liked it. All my toys were in the right place. They were all around my sleeping perch, they made several walls for my to hide and sleep behind. I had to move them all back. And mom even through out one of my toys. Why would she do that?? So it had a few beak marks in it. So some of the rope on it was a little ratty looking (that’s what she said). It took me a long time to get it that way. NOw I’ve got to start all over again. She put in a new one just like that one….Walmart sells them, it be called a yellow ducky lot’s a legs. It’s the bestest toy in the whole world. I love those. I had mine just rights and now it’s all wrong. I’ve got to work on it all over again….all that work for nothing. Hmmmph..
Yaaaawwwwnnnnn!!!! I think it be time for nite-nites…sweet dreams all

Giveaways Coming October 7, 2007

As you may know we have given away great parrot products on the blog in the past, and I am always looking for other ways to do so, and I have just found the greatest way to do it!  I have the details below.

I got this idea from another blog.

Here’s how it works:  I will be offering a parrot or bird related product and to enter for a chance to win it, you must simply post a comment on the post!   After the post receives 100 comments, then a winner will be chosen randomly out of the 100 that posted comments.

Simple enough?  Sure…

I will see what I can find to offer!

Look back soon and subscribe to the feed to be notified when the first post goes up.
