Family Saved from Fire by Parrot October 22, 2007
Posted by Andrew in : Amazon,News , 2 commentsThis is neat the family didnt hear the fire alarm but the parrot woke them up by copying it. The fire was in Muncie, IN and most of the house burned, which is too bad but the family got out ok thanks to the parrot (an amazon), which they only had for 6 months. It’s so awesome how God intervenes.

A Reader’s Recommendation August 16, 2007
Posted by Andrew in : Amazon , add a comment...please?I received this email from a reader a few days ago and I am posting it here on request, which I am very happy to do.
Thank you for the recommendation!
Hi Andrew! Thanks for all the great entries. Your stories help heal my heart when my quaker, Sam, died. I also began reading other blogs and watching all the YouTube videos that had anything to do with quakers. I did find a sanctuary that had a quaker for adoption near my house and I was allowed to adopt her. Cricket is awesome and I feel like the hole in my heart has begun to heal.
The reason I am writing to you is because the sanctuary where Cricket was is in need of help. They received two birds, both in the same cage, that are definitely survivors. Both birds need surgery but we all know how expensive that can be. Aria has already had one surgery where the doctors had to take her left eye. She needs the surgery to remove the tumor from the other eye. Yoko is in the same quandary.
I was hoping that you would put their web address on your blog. I know that lots of people read your blog, so I am hoping that prayers and positive thoughts can be sent to help these two beautiful but neglected birds.
Here’s the link: http://www.flyingcolors-nc.com/
Thanks so much for your time.
Sincerely,
Jill de Ligt (aka Cricket’s mom)
