Even those I do watch are ususally at least a few years old by the time I get around to seeing it.

I just rented The Parrots of Telegraph Hill from Amazon, it was on sale for 99 cents so I couldn’t resist. ^_^

The credits are rolling as I type, and I can say it was worth the watch and definitely more than worth the $0.99 if you are into birds at all. The story flows nicely, lots of great parrots (mostly cherry head conures, but also some cockatiels, ‘toos, budgies and various others), and overall is a very beautiful film. I highly recommend it to all parrot and bird lovers.

She is hand cast, fired and then reshaped to fit this piece. She is completely hand-painted and detailed (right up to her glass eyes), and she is OH SO REALISTIC as she munches on the slice of apple she scooped right out of the basket! The Apple Basket is also made of bisque and is 10″ high and about 7″ in diameter. It is completely hand-painted and the juicy, red apples look good enough to eat! The apples lift off to reveal a very large jar in which to stash the cookies (or anything else for that matter!)  This beautiful piece is ONE OF A KIND and will NEVER BE DUPLICATED. It is signed and dated and is an original design and creation.

This unique hanging lamp features the Major Mitchell’s Cockatoo. The bird is made of bisque and measures about 17″ bent over from head to tail. She is hand cast, fired and then reshaped to fit this piece. This beautiful birdie is completely hand-painted and VERY LIFELIKE as she hangs on the chandelier looking down with her beak open. Her crest is completely raised in anticipation of who may walk below! She swings on a metal and glass “Art Deco” lamp. The lamp is 21″ high (without the chain), 15″ wide and is finished in antique gold. The pair of glass Art Deco shades are frosted and speckled with a pale opalescent pink and antique gold. There is an on/off button in the center of the lamp. The lamp does have a plug on it, so it can be plugged into a wall outlet (you will need an extension cord to do this). Or it can be wired into the ceiling. This lamp does NOT come with the chain. The piece is ONE OF A KIND and will NEVER BE DUPLICATED. It is signed and dated and is an original design and creation.
