Dear Andrew,
A while ago, you featured a picture of my cockatiel, J. L. LeMone, on your blog. I am very sad to let you and your readers know that, after being with me for 7 years, he passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 14. I am going to keep his cockatiel blog, http://tielweekly.blogspot.com/, going in his honor. I was wondering if you could place the attached picture of him on your Bird A Day blog as a tribute to him.

We will miss J.L. very much! He was very informative and shared his vast knowledge of cockatiels with bird lovers around the world. My mom learned a lot from him about how to take better care of me (even though she’s had me for 17 years!) He was definitely a well-loved bird and had a wonderful home.
