Your bird is beautiful and looks like my Yanni bird who died in my hand today. I found him on the bottom of his cage barely alive. He was fine yesterday and early this morning. I put drops of water in his mouth and his little eyes opened and closed slowly. Once he opened his eyes really big and flapped his wings but they were not corrdinated and he couldn’t bring them back in. I called the vet and was frantic. His little head went limp and his feet could not cling to anything. I’m devastated cause he is gone and I don’t even know why? My Quaker in the cage next to his is fine. Yanni was my buddy. He sat on my shoulder. He bobbed up and down on my shoulder when I played my keyboard like he was dancing to the music. He would get so excited when bird treats came out into sight. He loved to go outside with me and feel the warm sunshine in warmer months. He was on a bird pellet diet. I can’t imagine what happend, why he is now gone. I can’t sleep tonight and I’m so sad that all I could think to do was get on line and try to find out medical reasons why he died??? Then I found this site and wanted to tell you how beautiful your bird is. He looks just like my Yanni. I have tears in my eyes and wish he was still with me. It hurts so bad to loose a pet that you love.
