I received a very nice email from Dina the other day, about Maxie and the tricks she can do!

I’m sure you will enjoy the story and pics, as I did. ^_^

This is my bird MAXIE MACAW!

Hi, Everyone;

Just popping round to say Hello.

For those of you who have never met Maxie;

What can I say? I love her so very much and I’m very proud of her. She knows 2-3 tricks now that I, unbelievably, have taught her

#1-She can wave Bye-Bye

#2 She will SPREAD HER WINGS on Command

For those of you who have had the pleasure of meeting her…I’m sure you were taken back by her and her tricks and her statements. Most times, when Maxie is introduced to someone she will say,

HELLO!

When you stare at her too long, she will say…”WHAT?”

Some times when people leave she will either wave or say… “BYE BYE”.

For the few of you who had the misfortune of being bitten by the ‘monster’…I’m so very sorry! HOPE TO SEE MORE OF YOU SOON!

Love your bird!

I’ve had my b&g since 1978 we kinda grew up together. he was 14 weeks when I got him. So we are kind mirrored in what we do and like.
His name is shadow, for an obvious reason.
Roll your finger at him and he’ll role over. Say bark and he barks. If we play tug of war he will growl like a dog playing.
He flys in to wake me up every morning almost exact times. He showers with me me every day, him every two three days.
He gets his own plate on the table at meal times, eats a little of what I eat some exceptions.
He is just another dude. I can hand him off to anyone. He’s 98% potty trained.
He has made life extra special.
